January 3rd, 2018
2017 has been a slow year for my blog. I haven't been able to be as productive as I were in the previous two years. It is absolutely saddening; the fact that the number of my posts seemed to decrease and my commitment to the blog has deteriorated. I decided to change it up and try to make this blog even more personal to me. How? By blogging in Indonesian. Starting from 2018 I will be trying to use Bahasa Indonesia as the main language of my blog. It comes from a few reasons such as: to be able to express myself better through my writings; to really set my blog in accordance to peers I am most familiar with, and to fill contents that I still feel are not as accessible in my first language in comparison to my second. I might still use English words and phrases here and there, I also might even write a full English posts accordingly to posts that I see it fit (or when I feel like it). I feel like a change is needed, and it will be the first drastic change I make this year in order to push me further in creating better content. I might add a variety of content to this blog, one I had clear in mind is writing movie reviews. I will see as to how it goes and make adjustments if needed -- for myself first, my reader second.
As for my other blog, it will be kept in full English. I promise that at least I will try to post often on that one too. If you were a non-Indonesian speaker and had been enjoying my English-written posts I would like to THANK YOU SO MUCH. Please contact me if you would still like to read my writings or to have it accessible in English -- I might even try to post in two languages at once but I think it's not going to be done anytime soon. We'll see it then, how changes will be suited on the blog.
I wish you a happy new year and an awesome 2018.
New year, new stories, same old Sel.
Cheers!

I haven't been blogging for a long time. I almost missed a month without blog post but thankfully I did. I am now back in Jakarta and currently finishing up my degree. Hopefully, in a couple of weeks, I will proceed with my thesis defense. I hope you guys enjoy my blog and I am sorry for I have been rarely blogging since I was so caught up with a lot of things. I hope you enjoyed my travel logs from my journeys in Western Europe. I have one more country I have yet written on the blog which is Italy -- I hope I can get back to writing it once my school related kinds of stuff are done. Also, don't worry, I have prepared some food related posts from the times I got back from the Netherlands. I really missed the Jakarta food scene and was excited to be able to catch up to a lot of things that will be written on the blog.
Now, wish me luck! Gotta brush up a couple more chapters of my thesis!
Cheers!

Currently, I am writing this in my apartment over Burgemeester Oudlaan in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It's been one month since I flew from Jakarta to Amsterdam and now I had just started my first week of my seventh semester of college at Erasmus University Rotterdam. I'll be spending a whole semester here and I will be back by 2017 to finish my law degree back in University of Indonesia.
I have yet to post a lot of thing for the past month as everything has been so hectic and filled with nerves and anxieties, so I only had been able to post a couple of posts that I had prepared from Jakarta and that's it. But from this on forward, there will be update for my travel and experiences in the Netherlands and around. However don't be surprised if there are some post from the past that had yet been published and was still stored on my draft posts.
I haven't been writing on the blog, I've been writing in my own journal a.k.a diary and it is a pretty good writing exercise. I'm almost 31 entries in and that might be one of the reasons that I seldom post anything recently. Oh well... to new adventures!
I am excited and I hope you are too.
Here's to another chapter of my life and to the variety of content on the blog :)
Cheers!

GUYYYYYS I'M MOVING COUNTRY!
I'll be living in the Netherlands until the end of 2016. There will be a lot of stories to tell but please bear that many of my post will be postponed as a draft for a while. I got a lot of things to settle here before I can finally sit down and write more blog post (and finishing up the pile of drafts).
I'm continuing my study in Rotterdam for a semester. My blog would most probably be less about food and more about the spots and travel -- but we shall see. I am so excited and I hope you guys are too. Until the next post!
Cheers!

Hello, guys! I just went back from Seoul and I'm trying to catch up with multiple posts that have been staying as drafts for the last couple of weeks. I will post more food reviews soon and, of course, there will be several set of posts themed around my experiences in South Korea. Stay tuned!
Oh, and there will also be a different set of photographs from my Korean trip which you can see on https://kataselena.wordpress.com but it is still pending. I'm trying my best to balance these blogs and to keep up being consistent, so please bear with me ^___^
As always, thank you for reading!
Cheers!

I'm going to South Korea for three weeks starting from late January to early February for a cultural immersion winter program in one of South Korea private university. Expect some post on my travel there as I bet there will be several parts of the post, although I cannot promise much since I think I will be studying most of the time.
*puts on thick, nerdy glasses*
/wait I already worn one
/this is how I always am
*adjusting glasses*
I will also try to give immaculate reviews of the food that I eat there; or even specific post on special spots that I find specifically in Seoul, South Korea. Prior apology if I weren't able to post many things in the upcoming month(s), but I'll try to redeem myself with its following posts. WHEEEEEEEEE, I am so excited and I hope you are too!
Now go to sleep little ones, Santa's work is currently in progress.
Cheers!
